ABOUT USNeu America Art Gallery is an educational project founded by Venezuelan-born, Orlando- based artist Edemuel Mora whose main concern has been to cultivate an appreciation and sensibility towards the local visual arts. The name and the organization Neu America Art Gallery originated in 2008 as a celebration of the ethnic and artistic diversity that characterizes the Orlando and the American society. Edemuel and his group of creative and talented artists are firmly committed to developing a vibrant artistic community through the continuous education of its members. Since its beginning, this organization has served the local art scene as a promotional platform to promote the work of our local artist, and has presented the community with a more approachable and interactive concept of art exhibitions in different locations around the Orlando metropolitan area. The idea has been to create a cultural experience in which the community has the opportunity to meet the artists and learn more about their creative process. Neu America strongly believes that art should be available to anyone to ensure the preservation of our cultural and historical legacy. |

GOALSNeu America Art Gallery wants to play an active role in the growth of our local art scene through the following objectives:1. To educate the community through a variety of programs including workshops, interactive art exhibitions, special events and entertainment. 2. To inform the community about art, current local artistic trends, cultural activities and local artists through our quarterly publication: Neu America Art Magazine. 3. To encourage artists to raise their artistic level by participating in an annual juried event organized and sponsored by Neu America Art Gallery. 4. To award monetary prizes to those artists whose work presents a high quality level of creativity, originality and technical skill. 5. To raise broader awareness about the powerful impact of the arts on the local economic growth. 6. To constantly strive for a well-attended and economically-strong artistic market that, eventually, positions Orlando as a prestigious destination for the visual arts. 7. To form strategic alliances with local art institutions and government entities to encourage the continuous development of the local visual arts, and to work together more effectively towards a richer cultural life. |
